Operators of the chastitylock ransomware attacked users and blocked their IoT devices, depriving the wearer of the opportunity to remove it.

The source code of the chastitylock ransomware, which is used to carry out attacks on users of the" smart " Bluetooth lock of male chastity, has now been published in the public domain for research purposes.

We are talking about the Cellmate Chastity Cage device from the Chinese company Qiui, which is a modern analogue of the medieval chastity belt, which can be controlled (blocked and unlocked) using a mobile application. However, as experts of the company Pen Test Partners found out, there are vulnerabilities in the application that allow anyone to remotely block the gadget.

Users of Qiui Cellmate's men's chastity belts last year fell victim to cyberattacks using the chastitylock malware after security researchers discovered a vulnerability in the device that allowed it to be blocked remotely.

The founder of the vxunderground research group announced the publication of the source code of the chastitylock ransomware. According to the analysis , the malware contains code that communicates with Qiui API endpoints to list user information, send messages to the victim's app, and add friends.
