He has been wanted since 2018.

In Moscow, a member of an international hacker group was detained, who stole more than one billion rubles from various banks.

Members of the group, which called itself "Avangard", hacked into the database of a number of Russian banks and stole about a billion rubles with the help of a currency conversion operation. It is noted that the money was transferred to a new account, after which the operation was "canceled", and the suspended money went to the hackers ' accounts.

Most of the gang members were caught and sentenced to terms ranging from 5 to 12 years. At that time, two more members of the group were on the run — Artem Mazurenko and Anton Yakimenko. Mazurenko was captured on March 19.

Among the affected financial organizations are Promsvyazbank, banks "Zenit", "Trust", and "Uralsib", as well as a number of other, smaller credit organizations.

According to the investigation, in July-November 2014, a citizen of Ukraine, Yuriy Lysenko, organized a criminal community, in which he involved 17 other accomplices, to steal money from banks. The thefts were committed over the Internet by " entering and modifying computer information, performing transfer and withdrawal operations on bank cards with their cancellation and restoring the balance on the accounts."

Earlier, the Meshchansky Court of Moscow found Lysenko and his accomplices guilty of committing a crime under part 1 of Article 210-organization of a criminal community-and under part 4 of Article 159.6 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - fraud in the field of computer information. The prosecutor requested for the leader of the hackers 15 years of imprisonment with serving a sentence in a high-security colony, and for other members of the group-from 6.5 to 14 years in prison. According to the verdict, the criminals received from 5 years of general and up to 13 years of strict regime. Two people were sentenced to 6 years of probation.
